Vibration welding uses the heat generated by the friction of the material’s surfaces to reach the melting point. Under the force of compressing the parts, the material is fused, cooled and welded.
There are two main types of vibration welding: linear, in which there is a one-dimensional vibration, and orbital, which consists of two-dimensional circular vibration movements.
